Is net metering finished in Pakistan?

For new connections, yes. Since 9 February 2026, NEPRA's net-billing rules pay about Rs 10–11 for each unit you export, while you pay the full rate for units you buy. People who signed before that date keep their old terms until their contracts end.

That's why storing your own solar in a battery is now the smarter choice.

How long does a lithium battery last?

Good LiFePO4 batteries are rated for 6,000 or more charge cycles. Used once a day, that's well over 10 years on paper. Warranties are usually 5 to 10 years. We'll show you the warranty terms in writing before you buy.

Is lithium safe in Karachi's heat?

LiFePO4 is the safest common lithium chemistry for homes. What matters most is where and how it's installed: in shade, with airflow, with the right cables and breakers. That's part of every installation we do.

Can I add a battery to my existing solar system?

Usually, yes. If you have a hybrid inverter, we can often add a battery directly. If you have an on-grid inverter, we'll suggest the simplest way to add storage after we check your setup.

Will my AC run on the battery?

Yes, with the right battery and inverter size. An inverter AC uses a lot of power, so it shortens backup time. Try the backup calculator above to see how many hours you'd get.

Do I need solar panels to use a battery?

No. A battery can charge from the grid when power is on and carry you through load-shedding. Adding solar later lets you charge it for free during the day.
